My paintings are primarily plein air oil & pastels landscapes – done spontaneously on the site. I have been painting and drawing all my life but began serious artistic pursuit in 1990. After two years of study at Taidekoulu Maa and Oriveden Opisto in Finland I began to include acrylic oil paintings in my repertoire.

• Clouds and water and sunlight come together to convey comfort and forgiveness, but also the depth and wildness of nature.
• When I paint, I embrace and assimilate the scene. I become part of it and belong to it. I no longer feel human separation from the world around me.
• My landscapes are meditations on the Creation. I hope to convey some of the mystery and depth I see in it.

I completed a 4 year curriculum of visual art studies during which I became interested in sculpture and installations.

• My installations are studies on Jungian archetypes and their visual manifestation in nature.
